Official Bob Marley-estate-approved pot is coming to a dispensary near you.
According to Money magazine, the Marley family has created Marley Natural brand weed in conjuction with Privateer Holdings, a private equity firm that focuses on marijuana products. (Who knew there was such a thing!) The company’s press announcement says Marley Natural will “honor the life and legacy of Bob Marley,” and will also focus on extra products, including creams, lotions, and accessories.
“My dad would be so happy to see people understanding the healing power of the herb,” said Cedella Marley, Marley’s daughter, in a statement. “He viewed the herb as something spiritual that could awaken our well-being, deepen our reflection, connect us to nature and liberate our creativity. Marley Natural is an authentic way to honor his legacy by adding his voice to the conversation about cannabis and helping end the social harms caused by prohibition.”
