Watch Flaming Lips Play 'Sgt. Pepper's' Tracks as 'Wizard of Oz' Characters

Jimmy Kimmel Live threw a Halloween party on Hollywood Boulevard for their October 31st episode as the late night show invited the Flaming Lips and their "fwends" Grace Potter and Morgan Delt to cover a pair of the Beatles' Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band tracks in the style of the Lips' ownWith a Little Help From My Fwends. The group performed a bonkers rendition of the Pepper's one-two punch of "With a Little Help From My Friends" and "Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds."

Wayne Coyne and Delt's unique Wizard of Oz-themed costume had them on opposite ends of a rainbow outfit that had Potter's Wicked Witch of the West standing beneath it. Bassist Michael Ivins dressed up as the Tin Man while the rest of the band donned Oz costumes for Dorothy, Glinda the Good Witch and a flying monkey.

"Some very angry rabid Beatles fans are going to want to kill me for remaking Sgt. Pepper, but most people I talk to, they are little more relaxed about their music and really have really been loving it," Coyne recently of With a Little Help From My Fwends. "We definitely learned that from doing the Pink Floyd stuff five or six years, where you're like, 'Why does this matter so much?' All I can say to them is that the Beatles music is untouched… Ours is just another version of it and if you don't like it, it has no effect on the other music."
